Sustainability: Donors and development agencies, such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Canada Fund, the European Union, and the United Nations Development Program Global Environmental Facility (GEF) fund approximately sixty percent (60%) of BEST’s operations.

BEST is forty percent (40%) sustainable, from interest income generated from its micro-credit program. Income is also derived through BEST role as the provider of consultancy services to a range of cooperatives, farmers’ organizations and other non-governmental organization.
