The Belize Enterprise for Sustainable Technology (B.E.S.T.) has seven member board of directors that meets quarterly to review work completed, plan and give recommendations on future programs and project activities. The board provides leadership and general policy direction to the organization. Member of the board are drawn from all aspects of the Belizean society and therefore are well respected and knowledgeable of activities within the various district of the country. They include professionals, micro-entrepreneurs, clients as well as business people with sound background of the economic sectors that they represent and the overall socio-economic conditions of the country.

2. Mr. Ernest Castro: Treasurer

Profession: Mr. Castro is an Accountant and owner of an Accounting and Auditing firm. He has over thirty (30) years of accounting experience in both the public and private sectors. He has served on a number of Boards and Commissions for the Government of Belize.
3. Mr. Dennis Jones: Secretary and Managing Director
Profession: Economist
Experience: Over fifteen (15) years of experience working in Credit Cooperatives and Non-Governmental Organizations. Has had experience as a Lecturer in Economics at the Associate Level. Has additional experience in insurance and housing cooperatives.
4. Mr. Harold Arzu: Director

Profession: An Economist Social Planner at the Inter American Development Bank’s office in Belize. He has over twenty (20) years of experience in project management. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Garifuna Council and has been involved in Trade Union organization for over ten (10) years.

6. Ms. Elida Alvarado

Exprience: Ten (10) years experience in community activities. Is influential in the formation of a Community Bank in the Blackman Edddy Village and a number of community organizations in the Cayo District of Belize.
